CIT Leadership Program

Program Description

Immerse yourself in a summer of learning, new experiences, and fun! As part of our CIT Leadership program, you’ll spend the first part of your four-week session learning valuable leadership skills from experienced mentors and a dedicated CIT Director. Explore your own strengths and growth areas, practice your communication and collaboration, challenge yourself (and your team!) on our high ropes course or tackle planning the weekly camper Talent Show. During this initial segment, you’ll dive into topics such as first aid, leadership, and child psychology—ensuring that you are well equipped to be guides and role models for future campers. For the majority of your session, you’ll have the chance to work in partnership with our group counselors, activity specialists, and enrichment teachers as you support our younger campers and learn the ropes of working with children. You’ll gain real-life leadership experience and learn how to handle responsibilities in a controlled, safe environment. And throughout it all you’ll have a close-knit cohort and a team of experienced leaders supporting your growth and guiding your learning. This isn’t work, this is working towards your future.

Following the CIT Leadership program, you are eligible to apply to work at St. Mark’s Summer for Session Five or future summers.
