Program Highlights

Overview

No matter which program you choose for your child, you can be sure that they will be immersed in a quality day camp experience at St. Mark’s Summer. Campers in our Traditional Camp will have a rotating schedule of activities through the day, while our Enrichment campers will spend the morning focused on their course of choice and then dive into a choice of activities each afternoon alongside our Traditional Campers.

Aquatics/Swimming

Campers in all of our programs participate in daily swim opportunities. For our Traditional Camp program, this includes instructional swim as well as Free Swim time. Our swim instruction is delivered by our certified aquatics staff and overseen by our Aquatics Director.

Using our outdoor poolbuilt for use by elementary and middle school campersour swim program prioritizes water safety, a love of water, and a lifetime enjoyment of swimming. Small instructional groups help children learn water safety and build swim skills in a safe, supervised, and positive setting.

Did you know there are hundreds of lions hidden around SMS? How many will YOU find this summer?

The Power of Camp

Summer camp can provide more than just care. For many children, camp builds a lifetime of memories and meaningful connections to others. Ask anyone who attended camp as a child, and a smile will quickly appear as they remember the idyllic days of fun in the sun, summer friendships that span the years, and the joy of camp rituals and traditions. Try new things, meet kids outside of your neighborhood, connect with caring adults, and create future memories with your new summer tradition at SMS.

Now-and-Future Skills

Kids are always learning—even during the summer. SMS offers opportunities for kids to learn and grow outside of the classroom. We emphasize the important skills they need like listening, communicating, and relationship-building. Campers will practice independence by making age-appropriate decisions and choices in a safe and supportive environment. Our caring staff model respect, curiosity, and responsibility. Campers come to us for a summer of fun and friendships, and leave with many new skills by the end of their sessions—skills they can use today and into the future.
